Circle Mini Pouch – Free Crochet Pattern

Who doesn’t love tiny things?? What about a little pouch to store those tiny things?? I don’t think it gets better than that. This little circle pouch is modern, sleek and super easy to make! Make a bunch for your friends!

Materials

  • One Skein Lion Brand Jeans Yarn (I used the color “Top Stitch”)
  • Size I Hook
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Button

Stitches Used

  • magic circle
  • hdc in the round
  • slip stitch
  • single crochet

Notes

  • This pattern is worked in the round holding two strands of yarn together.
  • finished size is 6″ in diameter

Pattern – Back Circle

Magic circle

Round 1: Ch 2, 10 hdc in magic circle.  Join with slip stitch to top of ch 2.

Round 2: Ch 2, 2 hdc in each stitch around.  Join with slip stitch to top of ch 2.

Round 3: Ch 2, *hdc in first stitch, 2 hdc in next stitch, repeat from * around.  

Join with slip stitch to top of ch 2.

Round 4: Ch 2, *hdc in each of the next 2 stitches, 2 hdc in next stitch, repeat from * around. Join with slip stitch to top of ch 2.

Round 5: Ch 2, *hdc in each of the next 3 stitches, 2 hdc in next stitch, repeat from * around.  Join with slip stitch to top of ch 2.

Round 6: Ch 2, hdc in first 2 stitches, 2 hdc in next stitch, *hdc in each of the next 4 stitches, 2 hdc in next stitch, repeat from * around. End with 2 hdc in each of the last 2 stitches. Join with slip stitch to top of ch 2.  Finish off and weave in ends.

Pattern – Front Circle

Magic circle

Round 1: Ch 2, 10 hdc in magic circle.  Join with slip stitch to top of ch 2.

Round 2: Ch 2, 2 hdc in each stitch around.  Join with slip stitch to top of ch 2.

Round 3: Ch 2, *hdc in first stitch, 2 hdc in next stitch, repeat from * around.  Join with slip stitch to top of ch 2.

Round 4: Ch 2, *hdc in each of the next 2 stitches, 2 hdc in next stitch, repeat from * around. Join with slip stitch to top of ch 2.

Round 5: Ch 2, *hdc in each of the next 3 stitches, 2 hdc in next stitch, repeat from * around.  Join with slip stitch to top of ch 2.

Round 6: Ch 2, hdc in first 2 stitches, 2 hdc in next stitch, *hdc in each of the next 4 stitches, 2 hdc in next stitch, repeat from * around until there are 11 stitches left. Slip stitch in next 5 stitches, ch 2, skip 1 stitch, slip stitch in last 5 stitches.  Join to top of first ch 2.  Do not finish off.

Joining the Circles

-Place first circle behind second circle

Ch 1, sc in each stitch around, making sure to go through the stitches on both circles.  Sc around until you reach the slip stitches from the previous round of the front circle.  Finish off and weave in ends.

Attach Button

-Line button up (on back circle) with button hole (ch 2 from last round on front circle)

-Attach button with coordinating yarn

Alright! You did it! Now you have an adorable little pouch perfect for holding oils, hair ties, mints, band-aids, and anything else you can think of!
