My Silly Boys

One of my goals is to get the good camera out a little more often during our regular, everyday activities.  I want to capture those moments as well as having some dedicated photo shoots with the boys.  I’m obsessed with lifestyle photography (like our wedding photos, which I realized I’ve never done a wedding post!  Coming soon!).  I’m no professional like our photographer was and is, but it’s still fun to mess around with.

These boys are so silly together already.  I never would have thought they would form a bond so fast, but they have.  They love each other and it is so apparent in their everyday actions.  Alex is always trying to make Christian smile or be happy and Christian is always watching what Alex is doing and laughing at his goofiness.  They melt my heart daily.

Alex is starting to be such a little boy.  He’s talking SO much!  He can count to 20 and to 10 in Spanish.  He speaks in full sentences, which is so fun because you can actually have a decent (& hilarious) conversation with him.  Usually about cool, awesome things.  He’s still a huge fan of trains, trucks, tractors and all things heavy machinery.  Every time we go to Kroger he asks “Momma drive by a tracties?” because there is a big construction site over there.  He’s getting his top two 2-year-old molars, which has been a real treat.  He broke his collar bone over July 4 weekend when he got wrapped up in Luna’s lead and did a flip and fly through the air landing on his side.  If you ask him, he’ll tell you all about it. But, it hasn’t slowed him down at all!  I’m sure it will be the first of at least a few broken bones we will endure.  He’s rambunctious, loving, sweet, loud, fast, and cuddly and I love him more and more everyday.

Christian is already 4 months old!  I’m really not sure how that happened!  He’s still got that head of red hair which I love and I can’t get enough of his eyes.  I’m still not sure what color they are going to end up, but I”m thinking they will be more hazel (John’s color) than dark brown (my color).  He is so full of life and love and sweet ooey-gooeyness.  He’s still squishy and even gives me some snuggles every once in a while.  I take what I can get!  He loves to be held upright and facing out so he doesn’t miss anything.  He laughs when he bounces and when you tickle his sides.  Or if you talk to him in funny voices.  He’s got the greatest little gummy smile.  He can roll over from his back to his belly like a pro.  He’s already in 9 month clothes which just baffles me.  He’s a firecracker and I’m so in love with him.

Did I reach my quota for shamelessly posting photos of my kids??  What can I say, they are stinking cute!

I hope you are all enjoying your summer so far!  We sure are, especially with this blast of cooler, less humid weather.
